James II (1437-1460), Groat, Edinburgh, class III, mm. crown, saltires by neck, crown with trefoils, rev. crown before vil, crown in first and fourth quarters, saltire and three pellets in second and third quarters, 3.35g/5h (cf. SCBI 35, 704-8; B 30, fig. 544; S 5236). Small striking splits, some corrosion and scratches on obverse, otherwise very fine (£200-250)
