James IV (1488-1531), Groat, Edinburgh, mm. cross fleury, tressure of twelve arcs, trefoils on cusps but not below bust, rev. cross fleury before vil, lis in first quarter, annulet and three pellets in second and third quarters and crown in fourth quarter, double star stops both sides, 3.11g/7h (cf. SCBI 35, 841-3; B 28, fig. 623 [James III]; S 5332). Some verdigris but good fine (£300-350)
