Dan Ehalt Crozier was born in Armstrong, B.C., on 5 April 1897. Enlisting in the 172nd Battalion (Rocky Mountain Rangers) at Kamloops, B.C., in May 1916, he was serving with the 4th Battalion, Canadian Machine Gun Corps, when killed in action on 28 September 1918 - being ‘instantly killed by a bullet from the rifle of an enemy sniper’ in the vicinity of the Douai-Cambrai Road. Buried in the Anneux British Cemetery, Nord, France, he was the son of Mr. C. T. and Mrs. M. A. Crozier, of 674 12th Avenue West, Vancouver; sold with copied service papers.
