Reginald Charles Bly was born in Weymouth, England, on 12 April 1885. A Carpenter by occupation, and a member of the 103rd Regiment of Militia (Calgary Rifles), he enlisted into the 56th (Calgary) Battalion at Calgary in May 1915, but had transferred to the 19th Battalion by the time he was killed in action at the battle of Thiepval Ridge on 26 September 1916; sold with copied service and other references.
