David Kenneth (Kinnell) Grant was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, on 19 June 1882. A Farmer by occupation, he enlisted at Calgary in November 1914 and was serving with the 31st (Alberta) Battalion when mortally wounded in September 1916, most probably in the battle of Courcelette, and he died on the 16th. Buried in the Puchevillers British Cemetery, he was the son of James and Elizabeth Grant, of 6 Montpelier Terrace, Edinburgh; sold with copied service and other papers.
