John McCulloch was born in Glasgow, Scotland, on 9 October 1878. A Farmer by occupation, and a member of the 79th Cameron Highlanders of Canada, he attested for overseas service at Winnipeg in November 1915. Serving with the Battalion in France, he was killed in action on 16 August 1918 during the battle of Amiens. The son of James and Marion Gray McCulloch was buried in the Roye New British Cemetery; sold with copied service papers.
