Pete Ouillette was an Indian, born at Carman, Manitoba, on 15 February 1884. A Farmer by occupation, he enlisted into the 221st Battalion at Winnipeg in May 1916, but was serving with the 78th Battalion (Winnipeg Grenadiers) when he was reported missing, later deemed to have been killed in action, on 30 October 1917, during the battle of Passchendaele. His name is remembered with honour at the Passchendaele New British Cemetery; sold with copied service papers.
