The Most Noble Order of the Garter, K.G., a fine Georgian Knight’s breast star by Garrard, silver, gold and enamels, 103 x 100mm., the reverse centre plate engraved ‘RJ & S. GARRARD Goldsmiths &c. TO THE KING and THE ROYAL FAMILY.’, not fitted with pin but the eight principal points of the star pierced for sewing directly to the coat, circa 1822-27, sold with a length of silk sash ribbon, extremely fine and scarce £8000-10000
