Hubert William Crutch was born in Colnbrook in Buckinghamshire. A Clerk by occupation, he attested for service with the 20th Battalion London Regiment on 10 August 1914. He served with the B.E.F. in France, 9 March 1915-17 May 1916. He was discharged on 29 June 1916 as being no longer physically fit for service. Sold with ‘20th London’ enamelled lapel badge and brass shoulder title; A.R.P. Badge, and copied service papers, m.i.c. and S.W.B. roll extract.
