Orlando Bishop was born in Old Church, Smethwick, Staffordshire and enlisted at Handsworth. He originally served with the R.A.M.C. Serving with the 20th Battalion London Regiment, he was killed in action on 13 August 1916. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.

James Thomas Jones was born in 1896, the third son of Mr and Mrs D R. Jones of New Cross, London. He was educated at Brockley Secondary School, London S.E. and St. Olave’s School, Towerbridge. He joined the Inns of Court O.T.C. in September 1915 and obtained his commission in the 20th Battalion London Regiment in July 1916. Second Lieutenant James Thomas Jones, 20th Battalion London Regiment, died of wounds on 24 August 1917, aged 20 years. He was buried at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Sold with a copied extract from The Journal, 21 September 1917, with his obituary, with copied photograph and m.i.c. Note: other officers with this name in the
Army List 1918.
