Charles Godfrey enlisted into the 20th Battalion London Regiment on 3 April 1916. Serving with the Labour Corps, he was discharged on 5 December 1918 and awarded the Silver War Badge.

Stanley Hoare lived in Lewisham and enlisted at Blackheath. Serving with the 20th Battalion London Regiment, he was killed in action on 12 August 1916, aged 20 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial.

William James Jordan was born in Islington, lived in Barnsbury and enlisted at Whitehall. Serving with the 2nd/20th Battalion London Regiment, he was killed in action in the Balkans on 25 April 1917, aged 35 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Doiran Memorial, Greece.

John James Meloy was born in Deptford, lived in East Greenwich and enlisted at Blackheath. He served with the 20th London Regiment in France, Salonika, Egypt and Palestine, returning to France in 1918 when he took part in the retreat and advance of that year. He was killed in action at Gommecourt on 30 August 1918, aged 22 years. Buried in the H.A.C. Cemetery, Ecoust-St. Mein; he was the son of Mary Ann Taylor of 14 Lenthorp Road, East Greenwich, London.

Alfred J. Osborne volunteered for service in August 1915. Serving with the 20th Battalion London Regiment in France, he saw action at Vimy Ridge and was wounded on the Somme on 30 July 1916. Invalided to England, he was discharged due to his wounds in December 1919.
