Robert Brown Craig was born in January 1909 and enlisted in the Royal Air Force in 1928. Following active service in Palestine, and advancement to Warrant Officer, he was commissioned as a Pilot Officer in the Technical Branch in October 1942, and was advanced to war substantive Flight Lieutenant in July 1944. Mentioned in despatches in January 1946, Craig was granted a permanent commission in the Royal Air Force as a Squadron Leader in July 1959 and was placed on the Retired List in March 1963. He died in July 1977.
Sold with his original M.I.D. certificate, dated 1 January 1946.
