Arthur John Morton was born in and enlisted at Birmingham. Serving in the 1st Battalion Worcestershire Regiment, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 5 November 1914. With the 2nd Battalion he was killed in action on 26 September 1915, aged 27 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial. He was the husband of Lily Morton of 42 Alma Street, Aston, Birmingham. With copied m.i.c. and casualty details.
