James I (1603-1625), Third coinage, Rose Ryal of 30 Shillings, mm. thistle (over spur rowel), 12.52g (Lingford 1048 [= Beresford-Jones 92], and SCBI Schneider 77 [unaltered mint-mark], same dies; N 2108; S 2632). Edge slightly chipped on reverse at 6 o’clock, otherwise very fine, the portrait better, very rare (£3000-3500)
