The twenty-five, all owner-drivers, each wore field service kit and each wore a brassard with the Club badge on their left arm. On 8 January 1917 he was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Flying Corps and was discharged with the rank of Captain on 1 March 1919. Green had previously seen service in the Boer War where he gained the Queen’s medal with 2 clasps. Sold with copied service details.
