42nd (Hertfordshire) and 120th (Younghusband’s Horse) Companies Imperial Yeomanry.
John Thomas Brown was born in the Parish of St. Andrew’s, Newcastle, Northumberland. A labourer by trade, he attested for the 120th Company (Younghusband’s Horse), 26th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry on 11 December 1901, aged 25 years, after previously serving with the 42nd (Hertfordshire) Company, 12th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry. He was discharged on 1 August 1902. Sold with copied service papers.
