A.R.R.C. London Gazette 3 June 1916. ‘Sister, Acting Matron, Miss E. L. McAllister, Q.A.I.M.N,S.’
Ellen Louise McAllister was appointed to the Q.A.I.M.N.S. in July 1904. She served as a Sister (Acting Matron) during the war, entering the France/Flanders theatre on 14 August 1917. Awarded the A.R.R.C. for her wartime services. Sister McAllister retired from the Q.A.I.M.N.S. in September 1925. With copied research.
