Scylla Kirrison Carroll was born in Peterborough on 19 June 1880. She trained as a Nurse at the Poor Law Infirmary, Nottingham, 1901-04. During the war she entered France in January 1915, serving with the French Flag Nursing Corps and the Q.A.I.M.N.S.R.
