Three: Captain H. M. Gilmour, Royal Army Medical Corps

Harry Morgan Gilmour received his medical education at St. Thomas’s Hospital and in 1903 he obtained the diplomas of M.R.C.S. and L.R.C.P. After holding the post of House Surgeon to Bridgnorth and South Shropshire Infirmary, he started practice at Andover and thence Hornsey. He then undertook postgraduate work at the Central London Ophthalmic Hospital. He was later Ophthalmic Surgeon to the East Suffolk and Ipswich Hospital, the Harwich and Dovercourt Hospital and to St. Audrey’s Hospital, Melton. In 1914 he joined the R.A.M.C. and entered France in September 1915. He later saw service in North Russia.
