Woolstan, Middlesex Regt.) clasps mounted in that order, unofficial connection to last clasp; Special Constabulary Long Service, G.V.R., 1st issue, 2 clasps, Long Service 1929, Long Service 1939 (William Woolston) note variation in surname, first with edge bruising, fine; second good very fine (2) £140-180

Arthur Alfred Woolston (note different initials/name to that on medals) was born in Islington, London, Middlesex. A Labourer by occupation, he attested for the Middlesex Regiment at London on 29 December 1898, aged 22 years, 2 months. With the 2nd Battalion he served in South Africa, December 1899-January 1903. Transferred to the Army Reserve in January 1903 and discharged on 26 September 1910. Additionally awarded the King’s medal with two clasps.
