Lugard’s D.S.O. group of medals is held by the National Army Museum, Chelsea. It is accompanied by another I.B.E.A. Company Medal which is named both on the edge (Captain F. D. Lugard, D.S.O., Norfolk Regiment), and in the reverse field (Uganda 1890. 1891. 1892.). Another single medal, similarly named is also known. As these medals were purchased privately by those entitled, it is quite possible that Lugard bought more than one example.
