Arthur Francis Jolly enlisted as a boy gunner in 1919. He was Battery Sergeant Major with V Battery 8 Field Regiment at the outbreak of the Second War, but was granted an emergency commission in January 1940. He saw active service in North Africa from 1940. He served in Malaya in 1947, and again in 1950-53, in Korea and Japan in 1954-55, and retired as a Major in 1956. He was awarded the Army L.S. & G.C. in 1937. Sold with extracts from service records.
