Joel Brooksbank, wounded during the retreat from Mons but returned to France and served for the duration of the war, attaining the rank of Colour-Sergeant.
Herbert Hammond, wounded during the retreat from Mons and later died accidentally on 14 January 1915. He is buried in Le Touret Military Cemetery, France.
Edward McKiddie, reported as having died of wounds on 12 June 1915. ‘We were unfortunate to lose Lieut. G. T. Bevan on the 12th, he being wounded by a shell, and on the same day Sergeant McKiddie went to visit a listening post and was never seen again. He is thought to have been caught by a German patrol.’
George Ernest Surman, born and enlisted Hastings, Sussex, was killed in action on 9 November 1914, near Zillebeke, and is buried in Poperinghe Old Military Cemetery.
