R.); French Medaille Militaire, all contained in a glazed mahogany display frame, with ivorine tab inscribed ‘C.S.M. W. J. Shrubb’, some enamel damage to last, laquered, good very fine or better (5) £240-280

Medaille Militaire London Gazette 15 December 1919.

W. J. Shrubb landed in Gallipoli on 10 August 1915 and served there until he was posted to Malta on 27 October 1915. Shrubb later joined his battalion in Egypt on 19 February 1916, finally taking his discharge on 12 June 1919.
