Thomas Teevan was appointed Assistant Surgeon, 3rd Foot, 30 June 1854; Surgeon on the Staff, 16 October 1866; Surgeon, 3rd Foot, 16 October 1866; Surgeon, 30th Foot, 19 August 1871; Brigade Surgeon, 27 November 1879; retired on half pay with hon. rank of Deputy Surgeon General, 30 July 1880. He served in the Crimea, before Sebastopol, and in China at Taku Forts, as Assistant Surgeon with the 3rd Foot.
