Albert Jenkins was awarded the R.S.P.C.A. silver medal for rescuing a dog from a disused mine shaft at Troon.

Charles G. Johns was awarded the N.C.D.L. silver medal for rescuing a dog from a mine shaft 120 ft. deep.
