Gillbrook, 2nd L.F.) together with a small pocket diary kept by the recipient in South Africa giving a detailed account of the regiment’s proceedings in the Boer War, note minor variation in spelling of surname, contact marks, therefore nearly very fine (5)

Jacob Gillbrook was born in St Georges, East London, and enlisted in London at the age of 14 years. He was discharged on 16 November 1903 after serving for 12 years.
