Thomas Hall enlisted on 3 November 1910, and entered the war on 22 August 1914. He was wounded in the Retreat from Mons and taken prisoner, being interned at Gefangenen Lager, Dulmen, Westphalia, Germany, and also at Doeberitz in Germany. He was discharged medically unfit on 1 April 1919.
