M.I.D. London Gazette 1 January 1941 (No. 15 O.T.U.).

Squadron Leader W. T. C. Seale was posted to No 7 Squadron at Oakington on 30 March 1941 as a pilot. On 29 June 1941, six Stirling bombers left to attack Hamburg and encountered considerable amounts of flak. The Stirling piloted by Squadron Leader Seale failed to return and it was later learned that it had crashed in the Wesermunde area killing all the crew.
