Dated ‘20 OCT. 1937’ on edge, being the date of commencement of payment of his M.S.M. annuity. His medal was not despatched until 21 January 1938. Believed to have joined the Royal Marines circa 1880, may have been awarded his LS & GC in 1895. Pensioned 12 December 1901.
