M.C., London Gazette, 16 September, 1918, Lt. David George Rees Bilham. 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in leading his company. When all his officers had become casualties he personally superintended the consolidation of the whole company and obtained touch with the units on his flank. His example was a great stimulus to the men under his command.'
