William Daniel Kelly joined the Royal Navy in March 1943 as an Air Fitter and served during the war, on various ships, with 776 and 807 Squadrons. He was aboard H.M.S. Glory (14 CAG) in Korea, and with 800 Squadron aboard H.M.S. Albion in the Near East during the Suez crisis. He was awarded his long service medal in March 1959, whilst serving aboard H.M.S. Goldcrest, and qualified for his Radfan clasp with 892 Squadron aboard H.M.S. Centaur. Sold with further research including copy Certificate of Service which shows his promotions and service in full detail.
