1st Aberdeenshire Rifle Volunteers, an extremely fine and rare other ranks or undress officer’s shako plate in die-stamped bronze, c1860, of QVC circular outline and displaying the full Arms of the City of Aberdeen but with additional charges, a crest is shown being a human head upon a sun-burst, and at the base another human head lodged within two cross hatched rococo panels; the rim plain apart from thistle sprays depending from the crown, two lug fasteners, mint condition £200-250
