Royal Marines, an extremely fine and rare officer’s rectangular copper gilt shoulder belt plate c1830-1855, the burnished gilt back plate overlaid with dead gilt mounts, centrally the Royal Crest with furled scroll above ‘GIBRALTAR’ and a similar scroll below ‘PER MARE PER TERRAM’, near mint state £500-700
