Royal Marines, an extremely fine and rare officer’s shako plate c1844-1855, the crowned copper gilt back plate with similar overlays being a laurel wreath and scrolls ‘GIBRALTAR’ and ‘PER MARE PER TERRAM’, centrally a silver globe and at the base a silver fouled anchor (KK1087, one star tip with slight fracture and the Globe crudely reaffixed with a nut and bolt otherwise near mint condition £500-700
