Royal Marines/Royal Navy, a copper gilt oval shoulder belt plate c1790-1810, engraved designs being ‘GR’ over the crown with a fouled anchor below, the ‘GR’ and the Anchor are possibly later additions, one hook two studs to the reverse, the hook detached but present, considerable where to the gilt £100-150
