About very fine, only part of obverse marginal legend showing, but a pleasing example, with face of monarch, his cap and apparel boldly defined

Among the great achievements of Indian numismatic art, the coins of the Guptas must take pride of place. This coin, although not of the very finest style, is an attractive and typical example of the skills of their coin engravers
