Because of Albania’s political and cultural isolation at this time these relatively modern issues appear on the market infrequently. Mintage figures are at present unknown. The World War II commemorative, dated 1989, marks the departure of German troops in November 1944 and the triumph of the Communist partisans rather than the final defeat of Germany in late Spring, 1945
