E. Morris was a long serving soldier of the Northamptonshire Regiment. He served in the Boer War and was awarded the Queen’s Medal with clasps for Belmont, Modder River, Orange Free State and Transvaal, and the King’s Medal with two clasps. He was awarded the Army L.S. & G.C. in 1908. On all these medals he was ranked as Colour Sergeant. On leaving the Army, Morris apparently joined the Southwark Division of the Naval Reserve. As a Sergeant-Major there he was a recipient of the Coronation Medal 1911. All the above four medals were listed in the Regimental Journal of 1937 as being in the Regimental Museum. Morris was awarded the M.S.M. with Annuity in 1932. Sold with copied research.
