James Sinclair was born on 23 December 1860. He attested for the Regular Army on 23 December 1878 and was posted to the Royal Artillery. As a Sergeant Instructor of Gunnery, Sinclair was awarded the Army L.S. & G.C. without gratuity ref. Army Order 96 of July 1897. He was recommended for the M.S.M. and Annuity on 20 July 1905 and was awarded it on 25 June 1931 ref. Army Order 163 of September 1932. Sold with copied research.
