Harold Targett was born in Southampton on 30 October 1919. A Factory Hand by occupation, he enlisted into the Royal Artillery (T.A.) before the war. He served throughout the war as a Gunner, latterly with the 68th Field Regiment R.A. Awarded the Efficiency Medal (Territorial), notified in List No. 4 of August 1946. Targett died of Tuberculosis in the Southampton Isolation Hospital on 8 February 1947.
