Sold with copied discharge papers for a Private Thomas Mathers who served in the 41st Regiment from 19 June 1825 until 31 July 1843, when he transferred to the 28th Regiment before being discharged on 20 October 1845, in consequence of ‘long service in India & indulgence in spirits’.
