Henry John Richards was commissioned as Ensign in the 23rd Foot on 27 July 1855. He served during the Indian Mutiny campaign and was present at the relief of Lucknow and at the siege and fall of Lucknow. He was promoted to Lieutenant on 23 April 1858 but died of fever at Lucknow on 28 May 1858. Sold with some copied research.
