Llewellyn John Williams volunteered for service in the Boer War with the 3rd Battalion, Welsh Regiment direct from the 3rd Glamorganshire Volunteer Rifle Corps in February 1902, aged 20 years. He subsequently served in operations in Orange Free State and the Transvaal South Africa in the period March-August 1902 and was discharged on his return to Wales at the end of the latter year; sold with copied research.
