William “Billy” Williams was advanced to Sergeant in the 1st Battalion, Welsh Regiment in August 1919 and won his mention in despatches in respect of ‘distinguished service during the operations in Waziristan, 21 April 1923 to 31 March 1924 (London Gazette 13 March 1925, refers). He retired in November 1930; sold with copied research.
