Patrick Lewis Bowers, who was born in July 1903, was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers in August 1923.
Advanced to Lieutenant in August 1925, he was attached to the Sudan Defence Force from January 1930 until July 1932 and, in the rank of Captain, served as Adjutant of the 6th (Carnarvon/Anglesey) Battalion, T.A. from December 1934 to July 1938. Having then served as a Staff Captain from July 1938 until August 1940, he was appointed a Brigade Major in the latter month and held the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel from late 1942.
He is believed to have served in Malaya in the period September 1954 to June 1957 and died at Weston House, Buckhorn Weston, Dorset in October 1981; sold with copied research.
