The Collection of Militaria to Welsh Regiments formed by the Late Llewellyn Lord

Harry Payne a Watercolour Drawing of a 23rd Royal Welsh Fusilier Dated 1878, the full length figure is depicted looking to his right and seemingly having just discharged his Martini-Henry rifle, he is wearing the fur cap introduced in 1866, scarlet tunic with cross belts, pouch and haversack, knapsack, water bottle, bayonet and dark coloured breeches. In the background three other fusiliers are advancing, 20 x 12.5 cms, signed ‘Harry Payne ‘78’ now contained in a modern glazed frame, very slight foxing otherwise good condition £100-150
