Imperial French Watercolour Drawings by L. Rousselot, the first depicts an officer led patrol of the 5th Hussards c. 1806 (35 x 26 cms), the mounted officer leads his six man patrol who appear to be escorting three prisoners one of whom is wounded; the second depicts a five man patrol of mounted Chasseurs au Cheval reconnoitering at the edge of a wood (23 x 15 cms), a pencil note on the reverse ‘Painted 1964’, both contained in glazed modern frames the first with some damage, the pictures in good condition (2) £80-120
This lot was sold as part of a special collection, The Collection of Militaria to Welsh Regiments formed by the Late Llewellyn Lord.
