The Black Watch (Territorial Battalion), Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate, c. 1908-14, rectangular silver-plated matt back plate with raised burnished rim, overlaid with gilt star of the Order of the Thistle, silver plate, K.C., thistles and motto centrally, gilt St Andrew’s Cross with silver Sphinx below, gilt title scrolls ‘The Royal Highlanders’ and ‘Black Watch’, the reverse with two hooks and two studs, and retailer’s stamp ‘Wm. Anderson, Military Outfitters, Edinburgh’, slight wear to gilt overlays, otherwise very good condition £200-300
