M.B.E. London Gazette 4 June 1946: ‘Surgeon Lieutenant John Groscourt Reed, Malayan R.N.V.R. Services as a Prisoner of War.’

John Groscourt Reed was the son of Surgeon Captain John Charles Groscourt Reed (see Lot 591). Sold with a copy of his Japanese Prisoner of War card which shows that he was captured on 13 February 1942, two days before the final surrender of Singapore. He was repatriated on 15 November 1945.
